Samsung has rolled out the second One UI 7 beta update for the Galaxy S23 series, bringing it closer to a stable release. The update (version ZYCE) is currently available in the UK, with other markets expected to follow soon. Notably, the Galaxy S23 FE is excluded from this beta program, limiting the update to the standard S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra models.

This beta introduces several AI features borrowed from the Galaxy S25
The Galaxy AI features include Google Gemini integration via the power key and text summarization tools for selected apps and web pages. However, some more advanced features, like Audio Eraser, remain exclusive to the Galaxy S24 and S25 series, Z Fold 6, and Tab S10. This One UI 7 Beta 2 update also includes some minor bug fixes, which signals that the stable version is nearing completion.
Key details:
- Availability: UK first, other regions soon.
- How to install: Settings > Software update > Download and install (for beta participants).
New features:
- Long-press power button for Google Gemini.
- AI-powered text summarization and writing tools.
Limitations: No Audio Eraser or other 2024-exclusive AI features.
Stable release timeline: Expected in April, though newer devices like the S24 will receive it first.
The Galaxy S24 series is now getting its last One UI 7 beta update, which suggests Samsung is finally done ironing out all the known bugs. This is the 6th beta update for the S24 series, which you can learn more about here.
While the S23 series’ second beta update concludes a short list of bug fixes, Samsung has yet to confirm a definitive rollout date for the stable version. For now, beta testers can explore these incremental improvements.
