After a relatively uneventful March, April 2025 is shaping up to be a blockbuster month for smartphone enthusiasts. With 13 new devices on the way—including flagships from Oppo, Xiaomi, Vivo, and OnePlus—April is shaping up to be an exciting month.
Phone from Oppo, OnePlus and Realme:
Oppo is leading the pack with its April 10th event, where it will unveil six new products. The Find X8s and X8s+ to include refined upgrades—narrower bezels, improved cameras, and the Dimensity 9400+ chipset—while maintaining a sleek sub-7.8mm profile. The real star, however, is the Find X8 Ultra, a 6.8-inch 2K flat-screen flagship with a quad-camera setup, which includes enhanced 3x and 6x telephoto lenses and a Multispectral Sensor for superior color accuracy.
Oppo Watch X2 Mini, a stylish wearable aimed at women, and the ultra-thin Oppo Pad 4 Pro (powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite) will join the smartphones. Meanwhile, OnePlus is expected to make a surprising return with the 13T, a 6.3-inch compact phone sharing the X8s’ display but packing a Snapdragon 8 Elite and 6200mAh battery. Realme is also stepping up with the GT7, featuring a 7000mAh battery, 100W charging, and Dimensity 9400+. It’s likely aimed at power users.
Xiaomi & Redmi: brand’s first self-developed SoC
Xiaomi is teasing four devices, with the Xiaomi 15s Pro rumored to debut the brand’s first self-developed SoC. The Redmi Turbo 4 Pro and K80 Ultra are also expected to bring solid upgrades, though details remain scarce.
Vivo & iQOO: camera-focused innovations
Vivo’s X200 Ultra stands out with a 35mm main sensor and an ultra-wide camera with a massive sensor, which has resulted in a strikingly thick camera bump. The X200s also gets upgrades like ultrasonic fingerprint scanning and a 6000mAh battery. iQOO’s Z10 Turbo Pro offers a budget-friendly alternative with Snapdragon 8s Elite and fast charging. All in all, April 2025 is packed with exciting releases, from ultra-slim flagships to powerhouse gaming tablets.
