Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi will launch its new Watch Move smartwatch in India on April 21, priced under ₹4,000. The device targets fitness enthusiasts with a 2.07-inch AMOLED display—the same size as the global Redmi Watch 5—and a peak brightness of 1500 nits, which Xiaomi claims is the brightest in its budget segment. Leaked images (Mukul Sharma) show a square design with a rotating crown for navigation, silicone straps in black, blue, white, and silver/gray, and a curved screen.

The Watch Move supports Bluetooth calling with dual microphones for noise reduction, over 100 sports modes, and five satellite positioning systems (GNSS) for accurate outdoor tracking. Xiaomi promises 98.5% activity-tracking accuracy and 14-day battery life, shorter than the Watch 5’s 24 days but still competitive. It runs on HyperOS, though specifics about the software upgrade remain unclear.

Unlike last year’s Watch 5 Active (₹2,799) and Watch 5 Lite (₹3,499), the Watch Move adds a rotating crown instead of a single button, a feature usually seen in premium watches. Sales will likely start on Amazon and Mi.com after the April 21 launch. Exact pricing, color options, and HyperOS features will be announced closer to the date.

In other news, Redmi has opened reservations for the Buds 7S wireless earbuds on JD.com in China. Priced at 199 Yuan (~$27), they feature a dual-driver setup (12.4mm titanium-coated + 5.5mm ceramic), SoundID audio personalization, spatial audio, and dual-mode active noise cancellation.
