Nothing’s breaking its own mold with the upcoming CMF Phone 2 Pro, set to launch on April 28 alongside new CMF earbuds. Known for skipping chargers in the box, the company is teasing a change—and it’s a meaningful one. The catch? This perk might be exclusive to India.

Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis shared a photo of the retail box on X

The co-founder confirmed that the CMF Phone 2 Pro will ship with a charger in India. His post flaunted the retail box with a slot for a two-pronged charger, a rare sight for Nothing fans used to buying power bricks separately. The wording suggests this change is India-specific, aligning with trends like the OnePlus 13R, which bundles a charger in the U.S. but not in the UK or Europe. For fans elsewhere, it’s a bit unfortunate but not really unexpected in today’s smartphone market.

Specs remain under wraps, though the CMF Phone 1 (currently retails around Rs 14,000 on Amazon) packs a 5,000mAh battery and 33W fast charging. The CMF Phone 2 Pro might match or exceed that, but we’re still guessing until Nothing makes it official.

This move could be a response to India’s competitive market, where bundled chargers still influence buying decisions. Paired with the April 28 event—featuring those mystery earbuds—it’s a bold strategy to strengthen the CMF sub-brand’s presence. A previous teaser showed part of the back with exposed screws, indicating a removable back panel—a defining feature of the CMF Phone 1.

Without full specs, the excitement now centers on the charger inclusion and the possibility of a bigger battery or faster charging. For Indian users, it’s a clear advantage; for others, it’s business as usual. Stay tuned—Nothing might reveal more details before launch!
