Nubia has officially announced the launch of its Z70S Ultra Photographer Edition, scheduled for April 28. Shared via the brand’s Weibo handle, the post reveals a camera-centric design and a completely full-screen display. The device will launch alongside a mystery product at the Nubia AI Dual Flagship New Product Launch.
Nubia Z70S Ultra Photographer Edition’s design revealed

The Nubia Z70S Ultra Photographer Edition adopts an aesthetic inspired by vintage cameras, complete with a red-ring accent around the camera module and a Neovision-branded stamp to emphasize its imaging credentials.
The rear design separates the main and supporting lenses with a dynamic dividing line, housing a new 35mm large sensor primary camera above and a periscope telephoto with an ultra-wide lens below. The rear panel features leather-textured material reminiscent of calfskin, enhancing both grip and visual appeal.
What truly sets it apart from other flagship phones is its 1.5K true full-screen display, making it the only Ultra-series phone this year to feature an under-display camera. Nubia uses a blue diamond pixel layout with FIAA compression wiring tech for higher screen-to-body ratio. Combined with its dedicated UDC Ultra chip, this screen promises sharp visuals and refined front camera output.

The 35mm main sensor is claimed to rival the size of competing 1-inch sensors, offering superior light intake and better low-light performance. Nubia has also showcased samples demonstrating precise glare control and clear, noise-free detail, reinforcing its claim as the new “Night Vision King.” On the performance front, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.
As a surprise addition, Nubia will also unveil a mysterious new product at the same event—rumored to be the brand’s first tablet.
