Back in August 2024, Motorola announced the new Moto Tag that arrived as an alternative to the Apple AirTag. Now, it appears that this smart tracker is also heading to the Indian market, which is a key region for the brand. So here’s what we know.
Moto Tag India Launch Date
In an official teaser poster, the brand announced that the Motorola Tag will go on sale in India on 23rd April 2025 at 12 PM IST. This model will arrive in two color options, namely Starlight Blue and Jade Green. This smart tracker has also been listed on the brand’s official Indian website and Flipkart. Motorola has even revealed the pricing for this device, which is set at 2,299 INR or roughly 27 US Dollars. This makes it slightly cheaper than its global pricing.
Based on the earlier release, the Moto Tag carries a lightweight and compact design that measures 31.9mm x 8mm in dimensions and weighs 7.5 grams. Its smart tag achieves this thanks to its plastic build, which is also IP67 rated for water and dust resistance. The Moto Tag supports Bluetooth 5.4 and UWB (Ultrawide Band), with a Bluetooth connectivity range of up to 100 meters.
Motorola’s new smart tracker houses a replaceable battery with a total battery life of up to 1 year. There is even a dedicated button on this tiny gadget, which allows it to act as a camera remote and even help you find your lost mobile devices. For those unaware, the smart tag is a simple device that serves as a tracker for any items it is attached to. So using your smartphone, one can find their misplaced items like wallets, keys, bags, and much more.
