Samsung has added the Galaxy S24 series (S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra) to its Certified Renewed program, offering refurbished models at lower prices. This move is aimed at reducing e-waste while giving buyers a chance to own a flagship device for less.
Refurbished Galaxy S24 Ultra
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is priced at $1,019.99 for 256GB and $1,139.99 for 512GB. It comes in Titanium Black and has a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with 12GB of RAM. The Ultra features a quad-camera setup: 200MP main, 12MP ultra-wide, 10MP telephoto (3x zoom), and 50MP telephoto (5x zoom). It has a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired and 15W wireless charging. It uses a titanium frame, Gorilla Armor protection, runs Android 14 with One UI 6.1, and is promised seven years of OS and security updates.
Refurbished Galaxy S24+
The Galaxy S24+ costs $799.99 for 256GB and $919.99 for 512GB. It’s available in Onyx Black. It has a 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, and 12GB of RAM. The camera setup includes a 50MP main, 12MP ultra-wide, and 10MP telephoto (3x zoom). It packs a 4,900mAh battery with 45W wired and 15W wireless charging. It runs Android 14 with One UI 6.1 and gets seven years of updates. Samsung no longer sells the S24+ directly, but you can find the 512GB model new on Amazon for $849, making it $70 cheaper than the refurbished one from Samsung.
Refurbished Galaxy S24
The base Galaxy S24 is priced at $619.99 for 128GB and $669.99 for 256GB. It also comes in Onyx Black. It has a 6.2-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, and comes with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM. The cameras match the S24+, with a 50MP main, 12MP ultra-wide, and 10MP telephoto (3x zoom). It has a smaller 4,000mAh battery, supporting 25W wired and 15W wireless charging. It runs Android 14 with One UI 6.1 and gets seven years of updates. The new Galaxy S24 is priced at $700 for 128GB and $760 for 256GB, meaning Samsung’s refurbished prices save you about $80 to $90, depending on the storage variant.
While the Certified Renewed program gives some savings, they aren’t huge. It’s worth checking the current new prices before deciding. Even so, the Galaxy S24 lineup is still a strong option in 2025, with fast processors, durable builds, long-term support, and good camera hardware.
In other news, Samsung UK is offering a limited-time deal on the Galaxy S25+, with £150 off the phone and free Galaxy Buds 3 Pro (worth £219). The 256GB model is now £849 and the 512GB model £949. This bundle saves you £369 overall, but it’s only available for a short time through Samsung’s UK e-shop.
