Short throw projectors are great for indoor use, and BenQ has just announced a new model in the west. This is the BenQ LW600ST+ Short Throw LED Simulation Projector that brings a compact design built for businesses. So here’s what it offers.

As the name suggests, the company’s new LW600ST+ arrives with a short throw ratio of 0.72-0.87. Tis means that it can project its screen from a very close distance from the screen surface. It can output 1280 x 800 resolution, although it does support VGA to Full HD resolution as well. BenQ promises up to 20,000 hours of operational life for the 4LED light source, which can deliver 3,200 ANSI lumens of brightness. The LW600ST+ offers 1.2x zoom as well as other tools like Screen Fill, Corner Fit, and 2D Keystone Correction.

The screen being projected has a 16:10 aspect ratio, 94 percent coverage of the Rec. 709 color gamut, and 20,000:1 aspect ratio. Connectivity options include an HDMI 1.4 port, USB Type A, and RS232. This short throw projector brings 33.4ms input lag at 1080p resolution at 60Hz. For audio, the BenQ LW600ST+ Short Throw LED Simulation Projector also houses 10W built-in speakers along with a 3.5mm audio out port. BenQ’s latest projector has a compact form factor, since it weighs just 2.9 kilograms and measures 304 x 107 x 221mm in terms of dimensions.
Pricing and Availability
For those interested, the BenQ LW600ST+ Short Throw LED Simulation Projector is available for purchase in the US for a $1,199 price tag. However, the European release is still a while away and the pricing is still unknown at the moment.
