OnePlus is reportedly working on the OnePlus 15 flagship phone, which may debut in October of this year in China. Recent reports have suggested that its camera setup may include a 200-megapixel periscope camera. However, a new leak, courtesy of reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, claims that the camera system of the OnePlus 15 has not been finalized. Here is a look at what the tipster revealed in the latest leak.
OnePlus 15 camera specifications (rumored)

According to the tipster, the camera setup for OnePlus’ upcoming SM8850 flagship is still under evaluation. He seems to be talking about the OnePlus 15, which is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip.
At present, the brand is testing a triple 50-megapixel configuration, which includes a main camera, an ultra-wide lens, and a telephoto sensor with around 3x optical zoom. The main camera is being considered in two versions — one with a standard large sensor and another with an ultra-large sensor. For the telephoto, the team is testing both small and medium-sized periscope sensor options. All of these setups are currently going through A/B testing to determine the optimal combination.
Earlier this week, the same source revealed that the OnePlus 15 is being tested with a flat display that supports a 1.5K resolution. This will be a major change considering that the brand has been offering a 2K curved-edge display since the OnePlus 7 Pro, which debuted back in 2019.

Apart from the change in the display design, the OnePlus 15 is also expected to adopt a new rear design. The overall look of the smartphone could be similar to an iPhone. The rumor mill is yet to leak details about its battery, but it appears that it may pack a 6,500mAh+ battery with fast charging of around 100W. The phone may also support 50W wireless charging like its predecessor.
