TCL has expanded its 2025 QD-Mini LED TV lineup with the launch of the new QM5K series in the US. The new series targets the midrange segment and sits below the QM6K lineup. It follows the recent debut of TCL’s Q8MK flagship series in the country. The series includes 50-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch screen sizes.

TCL QM5K QD-Mini LED TV Specifications
The QM5K series features TCL’s QD-Mini LED backlight system combined with the company’s new Halo Control System. The display supports up to 312 local dimming zones, which help deliver deeper blacks and enhanced contrast. The QLED panel covers 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color space, providing a wide color gamut and improved accuracy.
The TVs are powered by TCL’s AIPQ processor, which uses AI-based processing to dynamically optimize picture clarity, contrast, color, motion, upscaling, and backlighting. The TVs also support multiple advanced HDR formats, including Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG, ensuring detailed and accurate images across all supported content.
The QM5K series targets gamers with Game Accelerator 144, enabling up to 144Hz refresh rates on 55-inch models and above. It also supports Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and Motion Rate 240 with MEMC frame insertion, designed to deliver smoother and more responsive gaming performance.
For audio, TCL fits the 55-inch and larger models with an Onkyo 2.1-channel speaker system, which includes a built-in subwoofer. Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X processing enhance the soundstage with immersive, spatial audio effects.
The QM5K runs on Google TV, which gives users access to a wide range of streaming apps and services. The series also supports Google Chromecast and Apple AirPlay 2 for seamless content casting from smartphones and tablets. Users can control the TV via voice commands through Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, or Apple HomeKit.
For connectivity, the QM5K supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.4. The port selection includes one HDMI 2.1 port, two HDMI 2.0 ports, one LAN port, and one USB-A 3.0 port. The TV features an ultra-slim design with integrated cable management and side-facing ports for easy access.
