Casio is expected to launch the G-Shock G-Lide GBX100S-1 and GBX100S-2 watches in the US soon. These models recently went on sale in Japan and Europe, where they are priced at €169 through Casio’s online stores in countries like Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands. A report from G-Central suggests a US retail price of $170, although this price is not officially confirmed.

The GBX100S models are part of the G-Shock G-Lide series, designed for surfers. They come with Bluetooth support and sync with the Casio Watches app. Once connected, users can view tide graphs, moon data, and sunrise and sunset times. These tools are aimed at helping surfers plan their sessions more accurately.

Beyond surf tracking, the watches can monitor distance, speed, and pace, making them useful for general fitness tracking. They are built for durability, featuring a transparent resin case inspired by sunlight on ocean waves, paired with a metal frame for added strength.
Other features include world time across multiple cities, a stopwatch, shock resistance, and water resistance up to 20 ATM. The battery is replaceable and rated to last about two years. The GBX100S-1 and GBX100S-2 continue Casio’s focus on rugged, sport-ready watches while adding modern features through app connectivity.
In other news, Casio has opened pre-orders in Japan for two new high-end G-Shock MR-G models: the MRG-B2000BG-3A and MRG-B2000RG-3A, each priced at ¥385,000 (~$2,690). Both celebrate the traditional Japanese “kurogane-iro” color and share core specs like Tough Solar power, Bluetooth, Multiband 6, 200m water resistance, and shock/magnetic protection.
