Casio could be working on a premium addition to its G-Shock lineup. The MR-G watch is in a Black DLC Titanium finish, which may carry an exorbitant price tag. With only 500 pieces available worldwide, this limited edition timepiece blends cutting-edge materials with the rugged legacy of the G-Shock brand. So let’s check it out.

Casio MR-G G-Shock: A Casio Collector’s Dream?

The news arrives from a fresh leak that revealed that the upcoming Casio MR-G is a new special edition of the Casio MRG-B5000 series. It could carry the MRG-B5000B model number and have a brand new design with a black DLC-coated titanium finish. This Casio watch could even include a tsuiki-style artisanal hammer finishing on the bezel, which makes it a first for the series to feature an armor inspired texture.

Casio might only make around 500 units of the MRG-B5000B, making it great for collectors as well. Owing to its limited numbers and special design, the watch could be an ultra-premium watch that could have a ¥935,000 price tag in Japan (roughly about 6,000 US Dollars). Considering how this model is a high-end G-Shock, we can expect other features like Bluetooth Sync, Solar charging, sapphire crystal, and Multi-Band 6.

The upcoming MRG-B5000B will likely be announced soon, so stick around for more. In related news, Casio just launched the G-Shock GBX100S surfing watch in Europe with tide tracking. Earlier this month, the brand’s MR-G Kurogane-Iro G-Shock also features premium titanium and Samurai inspired designs as well.
