Xiaomi has officially teased its upcoming open-ear audio product, the Xiaomi Open Earbuds Pro. The announcement came through the company’s Weibo account, which described the product as a “new frontier in open-ear sound quality.” The earbuds will be unveiled at Xiaomi’s launch event in China on June 26 at 7 PM local time.

The Xiaomi Open Earbuds Pro is the first product in the industry to feature an open-style five-driver system. Xiaomi has collaborated with Harman for audio tuning, indicating a focus on balanced sound output. The earbuds also use skin-friendly liquid silicone material and follow an ergonomic design to support long hours of use.

Compared to the base model launched last year, the design of the Pro variant has undergone a significant overhaul. The earlier model had a horizontal pill-shaped case with a glossy finish and a minimal aesthetic. It used a slim, curved over-ear hook and focused on delivering a lifestyle-friendly appearance.

The Pro model uses a squarer clamshell-style case with a matte soft-touch finish and a more functional design. The earbuds are bulkier, and the ear hooks are thicker and rubberized to improve grip and wear stability. The overall look is more practical and fitness-focused than the polished appearance of the previous model.

According to certification documents, the product carries model number M2503E1 and is officially called “Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo Pro.” It has passed through multiple regulatory bodies, including the FCC, China’s MIIT, and Bluetooth SIG. The charging case includes a 788mAh battery with 6W charging support, while each earbud houses a 56mAh cell. The product supports Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology.

The base OpenWear Stereo, launched globally in July 2024, offered 10mm drivers, AI noise cancellation, HyperOS integration, and up to 38.5 hours of battery life. Xiaomi has not confirmed whether the Pro variant will introduce upgrades beyond the driver configuration or whether it will be sold internationally. The earbuds will launch alongside other products such as the Redmi K80 Ultra, Redmi K Pad, and Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro.
