Xiaomi has officially launched the Mijia Smart Clothes Dryer 2 Pro in China. The ceiling-mounted smart dryer is now listed on JD.com and other platforms, with an official retail price of 1,799 yuan ($251). It will go on sale from July 4 with an introductory price of 1,699 yuan ($237).

The Mijia Dryer 2 Pro is a premium smart home appliance designed for modern interiors. It features a 9.5cm ultra-thin hidden body that integrates into the ceiling, keeping the space clean and clutter-free. The device uses a one-piece design that conceals the drying rods when not in use.
Xiaomi has equipped the dryer with a built-in 3D curved dome light that acts as a primary light source for the room. It houses 120 full-spectrum LED beads rated Ra97 for high color accuracy. The light supports adjustable brightness and color temperature and meets TÜV RGO blue light safety standards. It can deliver up to 2200 lumens of brightness, making it suitable for evening reading or daily use.
The system includes 94 drying slots in total. This covers 40 open hanging slots, 20 retractable rod slots, 32 rotating hook slots, and 2 quilt rods. Xiaomi claims the system can support up to 35kg of laundry. The rods use 6063 aluminum alloy and 304 stainless steel wire for strength and corrosion resistance.
The dryer operates using a low-noise DC motor and supports vertical lift up to 1.1 meters. The system can be controlled via the Mi Home app, Xiao Ai voice assistant, or a wireless remote. It also supports Xiaomi’s HyperOS ecosystem and can work in sync with other smart appliances such as washing machines and dehumidifiers.
Xiaomi has added several safety features, including automatic stop when encountering obstacles, rebound protection, and auto rod retraction. The device operates at a noise level of ≤55dB(A), making it suitable for use at any time of day.
The Mijia Smart Clothes Dryer 2 Pro comes with a 3-year warranty and supports professional installation. Its dimensions in the retracted state are 1275mm x 460mm x 95mm, with the drying rods extending up to 2200mm. The system runs on 220V~50Hz power and has a rated power of 95W.
