Honor has just announced the Honor X70 in China. It is the brand’s latest budget smartphone that takes durability and battery life to the next step with an IP69K rating and a humongous battery pack. So here’s everything you need to know.
Honor X70: What does it offer?
The Chinese brand has packed an impressive set of features on the Honor X70 despite the device measuring just 7.76mm in thickness and weighing 199 grams. The body is also protected by an IP66 + IP68 + IP69K rating for improved water and dust resistance. In essence, it is dustproof and can survive being submerged in water and high-pressure jets as well. On the front, the Honor X70 sports a tall 6.79-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 100 percent DCI-PC color gamut, 3840Hz PWM dimming, and up to 6000 nits of peak brightness.

Under the hood, the latest budget phone is equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, which is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Honor has even managed to pack a ginormous 8,300mAh cell in this slim body. There is even support for 80W wired fast charging and 80W wireless fast charging (exclusive to the 512GB model). For optics, the rear has a 50MP (Main, OIS, f/1.88) + 8MP (Ultra Wide, f/2.0), while the front houses an 8MP selfie shooter. Other notable features include an infrared sensor, an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, NFC, WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3.
Pricing and Availability
Honor announced the X70 in multiple color options, namely Midnight Black, Bamboo Green, Moon White, and Cinnabar Red. These devices are also available in multiple storage configurations, so here are all the details:
- 8GB + 128GB – 1399 yuan
- 8GB + 256GB – 1599 yuan
- 12GB + 256GB – 1799 yuan
- 12GB + 512GB – 1999 yuan
First sale of the Honor X70 kicks off in the Chinese market on 18th July 2025.
