Xiaomi is getting ready to bring its Super Slim Magnetic Power Bank 5000 to global markets. Originally introduced in China, this ultra-thin 5000mAh power bank supports magnetic wireless charging, making it a great companion for MagSafe-compatible devices like the iPhone. Now, this model was found listed on the global website of the brand. So here’s what we know.
Xiaomi Super Slim Magnetic Power Bank 5000: Specs & Features
As the name suggests, the power bank features a thin aluminum body, measuring just 8.7mm in thickness. Despite its slim design, Xiaomi packs the power bank with a sizeable 5,000mAh cell capacity since it uses a high-density lithium cobalt oxide battery. The brand claims that the battery retains more than 80% of its original capacity even after 300 charge cycles.
Xiaomi’s Super Slim Magnetic Power Bank 5000 brings both wireless and wired charging, with the USB-C port delivering up to 22.5W wired output. On the other hand, the wireless charging pad supports multiple charging levels, namely 5W, 7.5W, 10W, and 15W. Looking at the image, the thin power bank will be available in four color variants, which include black, gold, purple, and blue.
Other notable features include a dual NTC thermal sensor system that monitors temperature 12,000 times per minute. There are even 17 N52-grade neodymium magnets inside the unit, generating a magnetic force of up to 10N, making it perfect for MagSafe compatible iPhones and other supported devices.
