Samsung has wrapped up the fourth edition of its popular esports event, the #PlayGalaxy Cup, with some of India’s leading gamers taking centre stage. The brand has confirmed the winners and key details of this highly engaging event, which also served as a platform to showcase the capabilities of its latest foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold7.
PlayGalaxy Cup Season 4: Top gamers clash in national-level showdown

Held in New Delhi, the latest season of the #PlayGalaxy Cup brought together 48 top gamers and content creators for a four-and-a-half-hour-long competition. The event was streamed live on Samsung India’s YouTube channel and shown at select exclusive stores, reaching over 350 million users.
The team Delhi AI Legends clinched the championship title, featuring well-known personalities like Techno Gamerz, iPreet, Mayur Gaming, and Tahir Feugo FF. The first runners-up were Guwahati Galaxy Guardians, including players such as Soneeta and Desi Chora. Meanwhile, Ahmedabad AI Avengers secured third place with team members like Regaltos and Ashi is Live.
Samsung positioned the Galaxy Z Fold 7 at the heart of this season’s competition. The device’s reduced thickness, lighter weight, and upgraded internals allowed gamers to experience smoother gameplay. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the foldable phone handled high-performance gaming sessions with precision and fluidity.
Aditya Babbar, Vice President of Samsung India’s MX Business, highlighted the growing impact of the #PlayGalaxy Cup over the past two years, turning it into a leading esports platform.
