Lenovo has updated its ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition laptops with a new “Moonlight White” finish. This is the first time a ThinkPad is available in white. The white version has a special coating to reduce discoloration. The black keyboard and display bezel remain unchanged. These updated models are only available in China for now.

The laptops keep the same specs as before. Both the 14-inch and 15-inch models are powered by Intel Lunar Lake processors, up to the Core Ultra 9 288V. They come with a 2.8K OLED touchscreen, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 32GB on-package RAM. Storage goes up to 2TB SSD. The 14-inch model weighs 1.27kg and has a 55Wh battery. The 15-inch version weighs 1.4kg with an 80Wh battery. Both are 6.8mm at their thinnest point.

The keyboard has a 1.35mm key travel and uses a full-size ISO layout. There’s an 8MP IR webcam with 1.0µm pixel size. Both models also feature the classic red TrackPoint with breathing light.
The laptops include Lenovo’s Tianxuan AI assistant and support local deployment of DeepSeek-R1-Distill-Qwen-1.5B and DeepSeek-Coder-1.3B. These are useful for knowledge queries, developer tools, search, and smart customer service.
Build quality is tested against 26 military-grade standards. The chassis has a tilted design for better typing comfort and includes multiple ports.
