A new report has revealed some daunting info for those looking to buy Samsung‘s latest Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 foldable. While premium smartphones typically have a hefty repair cost, the brand’s flagship foldable takes things to another level with an exorbitant cost to repair, which might have you consider buying a new flagship entirely. So here’s what you need to know.

Buying the Galaxy Z Fold 7? Consider the repair cost

According to a SamMobile report, breaking the flexible displays of either the Galaxy Z Fold 7 or Galaxy Z Flip 7 could set you back by hundreds of Dollars. The publication managed to get its hands on the repair cost list from a European supplier. If you break the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s main display, fixing it will cost you 761 Euros, or roughly about 884 US Dollars.

This makes it even more expensive than the Nothing Phone (3), which was a newly announced flagship phone. For this much money, you can even buy Samsung’s Galaxy S25, a compact flagship model. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s cover display is more affordable, with repairs costing 525 Euros (about 610 US Dollars).

It is worth noting that this price is just for the component parts and does not include labor costs. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 7’s primary flexible display repairs cost 342 Euros (roughly 398 US Dollars), while the new FlexWindow cover display costs 207 Euros (roughly 241 US Dollars). So Samsung Care and all the extended warranty/accidental damage protection seem like a must-have for potential buyers.
