Xiaomi could be planning on upgrading the fast charging speeds of its upcoming smartphones. It has just registered a new power brick with impressive fast charging speeds. So, we might be getting an upgrade on the charging speeds of upcoming devices like the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro.
Redmi Turbo 5 Pro Charging Speed Upgrade?
Just recently, China’s 3C certification platform listed new power bricks from Chinese tech giants like Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo (Via NotebookCheck). The three brands registered the charger with 100W output, with Xiaomi’s model featuring a 20 volt(V)/5 amp (A) system. These faster charging bricks are likely arriving with the next generation of phones that are expected to pack massive battery packs.
To recall, the new Redmi Turbo 5 just had its key specs leaked, which revealed a new Dimensity 8500 and a humongous 7,000mAh+ battery pack. On the other hand, rumors have hinted at the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro taking it a step further with a mind-boggling 8,000mAh+ cell. So to keep up with the increase in battery capacity, the Turbo 5 Pro could get this new 100W charger, which marks a slight bump from 90W charging support on the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro.
The new Redmi Turbo 5 series might also make their global debut with POCO’s branding like last time. Although, details are still scarce at this moment.
