Back in January 2025, we covered a list of five of the most bizarre tech products unveiled at CES 2025. One of these entries included the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6, Lenovo‘s first commercially available rollable laptop. Now, this model has finally hit the shelves, and it only costs a few hundred dollars more than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7.
ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Release: Lenovo’s Most Futuristic Laptop Yet?
The Chinese tech giant has finally started ‘rolling’ out the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 model from its official stores with an exorbitant price tag of 3,299 US Dollars. For this price, you get Intel’s Core Ultra 7 258V, which isn’t particularly powerful but does offer great power efficiency. This latest gen Intel processor is paired with 32GB of RAM and 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD.

But what you’re actually paying for here is its unique rollable display. 14-inch is a comfortable form factor for a laptop screen, since it can meet most requirements of a student/office worker (portability is a bonus). However, you might miss a larger screen every now and then. With the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 6, you get the best of both words, since its original 14-inch panel can rollout to a 16.7-inch panel. This screen expansion is done seamlessly as the display panel extends upward.
The rollable display also means you’re not worried about any distracting crease on screens of foldable laptops. Lenovo packs an OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 400 nits of peak brightness, and 2000 x 1600p resolution (goes up to 2000 x 2350p). Other notable features include Dolby Atmos support, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, Hardman Kardon speakers, and a 66Whr battery pack.
