The SSD uses 3D NAND flash and is powered by a Phison PS2217-17 (U17) controller. Corsair has opted for a DRAM-less design and included features such as dynamic pSLC caching, TRIM, and garbage collection to maintain performance over time. The drive is compatible with Windows, macOS, iOS, iPadOS, Android, and Linux, requiring no additional drivers or software.

These cables are intended to support both desktop and mobile use cases. The EX300U connects with a single port for power and data, enabling true plug-and-play operation.

The compact gunmetal body weighs 98 grams and is built to handle vibration and shock. It can operate in temperatures ranging from 0°C to 70°C and withstand storage temperatures down to -40°C. The rated endurance is 250TBW per terabyte, and the drive carries a three-year warranty.

Corsair has made the 1TB model available but marked it out of stock at launch. The 2TB and 4TB variants are available for order with expected delivery between October 10 and October 13.
