Motorola kicked off the beta program for the latest Android 16 OS for its smartphone back in June, and has managed to roll out the stable build of Android 16 to select devices earlier today (8th October 2025). It managed to beat out major Chinese brands, and now, the update has even hit the Indian market. So here’s everything you need to know.

Here’s are the Motorola Smartphones Receiving the Android 16 Update in India

The company is showing some impressively speedy roll out for the Android 16 as the update drops immediately after its initial announcement. Motorola is bringing the stable Android 16 update to three of its existing smartphone models, which are a part of the popular Edge series. This includes the Edge 60 Pro, Edge 60 Fusion, and the Edge 50 Pro.

To recall, this is the same lineup of devices that received the update globally, but also included the Moto G (2025). So Motorola is testing the first wave of stable builds with these limited number of devices. The update seems to be around 3.5GB, so users should make sure keep their device sufficiently charger and with ample amount of storage space before making the upgrade.

More smartphone models from Motorola should likely be added to this roster soon. Unfortunately, we have no official word on which devices outside of these four are eligible for the update. However, we can expect its latest smartphone models across the budget, mid range, and premium models to get the software upgrade.
