beyerdynamic has added a new model to its PRO series with the DT 270 PRO, a pair of over-ear headphones designed to deliver studio-quality sound at an entry-level price. They are designed for both new and experienced creators who want reliable sound and comfort.

Compact and comfortable design
The DT 270 PRO weighs 194 grams and keeps the familiar PRO series comfort and build quality. It has a closed-back, over-ear design that provides 19 dB noise isolation. The replaceable velour ear pads and padded headband make it comfortable for long sessions. The headphones include a 1.3 m coiled cable, extendable to 3 m, which can be connected to either side. A USB-C to 3.5 mm adapter is included for use with phones, tablets, and other portable devices.

The set also includes a 6.35 mm jack adapter, a fabric carrying bag with a drawstring, and a quick start guide. Inside the headband is a spring steel frame that keeps the fit secure while staying flexible and lightweight.
Accurate sound for studio work

The DT 270 PRO uses dynamic sound transducers and a closed acoustic design. It offers a frequency response of 5 to 24,000 Hz, an impedance of 45 ohms, and sound pressure levels of 96 dB SPL at 1 mW/500 Hz and 109 dB SPL at 1 V/500 Hz. Total harmonic distortion is only 0.04% at 500 Hz, and the headphones can handle up to 100 mW of short-term power.
The sound is balanced and detailed, with clear bass, natural mids, and smooth highs. It is suitable for music production, podcast recording, or instrument practice.
Availability and pricing
The DT 270 PRO will be available from October 14, 2025, at a recommended retail price of €99 including VAT through beyerdynamic.com, Amazon, and select retailers. Spare parts and replacement ear pads will also be sold separately.
