Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Desktop Water Purifier Ice-Making Edition in China. The new device is now available on JD.com and integrates water purification, ice-making, and instant heating features into a single unit. It is priced at 4,499 yuan ($632), with an introductory price of 4,099 yuan ($576).

Mijia Water Purifier Ice-Making Edition Specs
The purifier uses a variable-frequency ice-making system that produces five transparent 10-gram ice cubes in 15 minutes under standard mode. It also supports a quick mode that produces five 6-gram cubes in 10 minutes.
The compressor works with dual-speed fans to maintain a consistent output while keeping noise levels low at 35dB. The system stores up to 40 to 50 cubes at once and preserves them for up to five hours at 75% efficiency.
Xiaomi has integrated dual UV sterilization lamps that disinfect both the water tank and the ice storage compartment, eliminating up to 99.9% of bacteria and reducing the risk of Listeria contamination. The purifier also includes an automatic ice-release system that dispenses ice at the press of a button, eliminating the need for manual scooping.

The Mijia purifier uses a six-stage RO+GC filtration system capable of filtering down to 0.0001 microns. It removes microplastics, heavy metals, PFAS, and other harmful substances. The filtered water meets baby-grade drinking standards and passes multiple safety certifications.
The system includes a 6-liter dual water tank that separates clean water and wastewater, preventing backflow and maintaining water quality. The post-carbon filter uses Sri Lankan coconut shell activated carbon to enhance taste.
Xiaomi has equipped the purifier with a 2100W thick-film heating system that can heat water in just three seconds. It supports temperature adjustments from 40°C to 95°C with 1°C precision. Through the Mijia app and HyperOS Connect, users can fine-tune settings, check water quality, and monitor the system’s status in real time.
The purifier comes with a 6-liter removable tank, a 2-liter pure water jug, and a touch control panel with a tri-color ambient indicator. The desktop design requires no installation and supports plug-and-play use. The unit has a rated water efficiency of 76.2%. The RO filter lasts up to three years, and the GC composite filter lasts one year.
In related Xiaomi news, the company has recently launched the Redmi Projector 4 Pro, featuring 1080p resolution, 600 CVIA lumens brightness, dual 8W speakers, and HyperOS integration.
