While teasing the arrival of the Vivo X300 series for China last month, Vivo confirmed that the home market will also be receiving a powerful Y-series phone called the Vivo Y500 Pro in November. It also confirmed that the device will be equipped with a flagship-grade 200-megapixel Samsung HP5 camera. Today, the brand rolled out the following poster to confirm its November 10 launch date for China along with some of its key specifications. At the same time, the device has also surfaced on Geekbench, revealing its chipset for the first time.
Vivo Y500 Pro Geekbench listing


The above screengrabs show that a new Vivo phone bearing the model number V2516A has surfaced on Geekbench. The listing reveals that it is powered by a chipset that comprises four cores working at 2.0GHz and four cores operating at 2.6GHz. For graphics, the chipset is equipped with the Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. These details suggest that the device is powered by the Dimensity 7400 chipset.
The listing also reveals that the device features 12GB of RAM and runs on Android 16, which will have a layer of OriginOS 6 on top. The company claims that it will be the first non-flagship Vivo phone to come preinstalled with OriginOS 6.
Vivo Y500 Pro’s officially confirmed specs

The official poster reveals that the Vivo Y500 Pro has a flagship-quality 6.67-inch OLED screen that supports a 1.5K resolution. For photography, it is equipped with a 200-megapixel Samsung HP5, a flagship-grade camera sensor with OIS support.
The Y500 Pro has a 7,000mAh battery, which is expected to support 90W fast charging. In terms of performance, the company claims that it will support 120fps HD MOBA gaming. As for the build, the Y500 Pro is an IP68/69-rated device, featuring an anti-glare glass back with a satin finish, giving it a premium and silky texture.
