ColorOS 16 update rollout

The ColorOS 16 update, based on Android 16, began rolling out in November and has been gradually expanding to more devices according to the official timeline. It appears the brand has recently improved the rollout pace as multiple devices across the X, F, and Reno lineups are now picking up this major update.

ColorOS 16 update is now rolling out to these devices

These Oppo smartphones have recently started receiving the stable ColorOS 16 update, based on Android 16:

  • Oppo Find X6
  • Oppo Find X6 Pro (PGEM10_16.0.1.300 (CN01))
  • Oppo Reno 13 (CPH2689_16.0.1.302 (EX01))
  • Oppo Reno 14 (CPH2737_16.0.1.302(EX01))
  • Oppo Reno 14 Pro (CPH2739_16.0.1.310 (EX01))
  • Oppo F27 (CPH2637_16.0.1.300 (EX01))

As you may already know, the updates are rolled out in batches. So, it may take a few days to reach all the units. You should receive a notification for the same on your device. Or, you can manually check for updates from the Settings app.

To get the update early, you can sign up for the release candidate build. To do this, go to Settings > System & update > Software update > tap the top of the page > tap icon on the top right > Beta program > Release candidate> Apply Now. You should see the update on the Software update page. Click the Download now button and then install the update.

Please note that ColorOS 16 is a major upgrade with a download size of about 3-5GB. Therefore, you must ensure that the device has sufficient storage and that it has at least 40% battery before installing the update.
