Samsung has officially released two new budget devices in the US market. The Galaxy Tab A11+ and Galaxy A17 5G have already made their global debut earlier this year, and these models are finally available with an affordable price tag. So here are all the details.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ Specifications
The South Korean tech giant’s new Galaxy Tab A11+ with a tall 11-inch TFT LCD panel with an FHD+ resolution, 480 nits of peak brightness, and a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, this tablet is equipped with the MediaTek MT8775 chipset, which is different from the Dimensity 7300 on the global variant. The chip is coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. A sizeable 7,040mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports 25W wired fast charging.
For optics, the rear features an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and a 5MP front camera for video calls. This model also debuts with various AI powered tools like Circle to Search and DeX Standalone Edition, which allows for improved productivity. Other notable features include a quad speaker system with Dolby Atmos, WiFi 5, a 3.5mm audio jack, an IP52 rating, a metal unibody, and a microSD card slot (offers up to 2TB of storage expansion).
Samsung Galaxy A17 5G Specifications
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G just launched with a tall 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus Front. The rear has a glass fiber reinforced polymer panel, while the frame is made with plastic. The budget phone is equipped with the Exynos 1330 SoC, which is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Users can even expand the storage by up to 2TB via a microSD card slot.
The Galaxy A17 5G houses a 5,000mAh cell that supports 25W wired fast charging. On the rear, you get a 50MP (Main) + 5MP (Ultra Wide) + 2MP (Macro) camera setup, with the front packing a 13MP selfie shooter. Other notable features include a side mounted fingerprint scanner, 6 years of OS updates (+6 years of security patches), AI features like Circle to Search, Bluetooth 5.3, WiFi 5, and an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance.
Pricing and Availability
Samsung just announced the Galaxy A17 5G in three color options, namely Black, Blue, and Gray. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab A11+ is listed in Gray and Silver. The Galaxy A17 5G has been released in the US for 199.99 US Dollars, while the Galaxy Tab A11+ has a starting price tag of 249.99 US Dollars. Samsung’s new budget smartphone will go on sale in the US on 7th January 2026 via AT&T, T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, Verizon, and Samsung Experience Stores, while the Galaxy Tab A11+ will release on January 8.
