Motorola has confirmed that the motorola signature will launch in India on January 23, shortly after its global debut at CES 2026. This is Motorola’s first phone under the new Signature series and it replaces the brand’s usual Edge flagship in the premium non-foldable category for this cycle.

What sets the motorola signature apart is its focus on services alongside hardware. Motorola says it is India’s first smartphone to offer 24×7 exclusive privileges. These include always-on assistance for travel, dining, wellness, lifestyle needs, and access to exclusive clubs. At launch, buyers also get a Signature CLUB welcome benefit, which allows one complimentary service booking worth up to ₹6,000 on first use through the app.

The hardware matches the premium positioning. The phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and uses Motorola’s Arctic Mesh cooling system to manage sustained performance. It is offered with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB internal storage. Based on global availability, the Indian launch is expected to focus on the 16GB RAM and 1TB storage variant.

The display is a tall 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. Motorola claims peak brightness of up to 6,200 nits. Audio is handled by stereo speakers tuned with Sound by BOSE.

Camera hardware is another highlight. The motorola signature features a Sony LYTIA 828 primary sensor with 3.5° optical image stabilization. It supports up to 8K video recording along with Dolby Vision video capture. The rear camera setup also includes a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera using a 1/1.95-inch sensor. The phone has performed well in independent testing, ranking seventh in DxOMark’s smartphone camera rankings, ahead of devices like the Pixel 10 Pro XL, Huawei Pura 70 Ultra, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. DxOMark noted better noise control and improved image processing, especially in low-light scenes.

Powering the device is a 5,200mAh battery with support for 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Other features include NFC, Bluetooth 6, USB 3.2, dual speakers, a slim 6.99mm body, and a weight of 186 grams.

The motorola signature will be sold through Flipkart, motorola.in, and offline retail stores. Pricing will be announced at launch, though leaks point to a price of ₹84,999 for the top-end configuration.
