Xiaomi has a lineup of Xiaomi 17 series smartphones set to launch globally. Among them are the Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro, both of which appeared on the IMEI database back in October. Now, a new post on X has revealed the camera and battery specifications of the vanilla Xiaomi 17T.
The details were unearthed from HyperOS code changes, where the smartphone is listed under the codename “P12A.”
To begin with, the Xiaomi 17T flaunts a 6,500mAh battery. That’s a sizable jump from the 5,500mAh battery from last year’s Xiaomi 15T; however, charging speed remains the same at 67W.
Moving on, the Xiaomi 17T will feature a triple rear camera setup, led by an OmniVision OV50E sensor. It’s joined by an OmniVision OV13B sensor and a Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensor, covering ultra-wide and telephoto duties. There’s also mention of a Samsung ISOCELL S5KKDS sensor for selfies.
For comparison, the Xiaomi 15T used a 50MP Light Fusion 800 main camera, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. It has a 32MP camera for selfies.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 17T could be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500s chipset. The processor includes a MediaTek NPU designed for generative and agentic AI features and recently made its debut earlier this month.
Interestingly, the same chip is already being used in the Redmi Turbo 5 Max, which gives some context about the performance level users can expect.
Xiaomi 17T series might launch in February

As for the Xiaomi 17T Pro, a listing spotted on the IMEI database back in October 2025 hints at a possible February 2026 launch. If that timeline holds, it would be a shift away from Xiaomi’s usual September release window for its T-series phones.
