The PocketTerm35 is a new handheld computing device aimed at developers and electronics enthusiasts. It brings a compact Linux-based experience powered by Raspberry Pi hardware, combining portability with practical functionality. The device integrates productivity, DIY flexibility, and even gaming support into a single unit.

The PocketTerm35 is a compact Raspberry Pi-based handheld device designed for portable computing. The Pi5 variant is powered by the Raspberry Pi 5 with 1GB RAM and comes with a pre-installed 64GB memory card. On the other hand, the Pi4 version uses the Raspberry Pi 4 paired with 2GB RAM. Both variants support a 5,000mAh lithium battery, enabling on-the-go usage, although the battery may be optional depending on the selected kit.
It features a 3.5-inch IPS display with a 640 x 480 resolution, along with optical bonding and a 5-point capacitive touch layer. The screen is protected by a toughened glass panel with 6H hardness, making it suitable for everyday use.

For input, the device includes a 67-key QWERTY silicone keyboard, which is intended for coding, command-line operations, and general typing tasks. It also features dedicated action keys, navigation controls, and function shortcuts for brightness and volume adjustments. An RP2040 MCU is built in to manage keyboard input and system-level controls.
In terms of connectivity and ports, the device includes USB ports, an Ethernet port, a USB-C charging port, an I2C header, and a 2-pin battery connector. For audio, it features an internal 8Ω 2W speaker and a 3.5mm audio jack. A built-in UPS power management system enables seamless switching between battery and external power, ensuring uninterrupted usage.

The PocketTerm35 is also compatible with RetroPie, making it suitable for handheld gaming alongside development tasks. Its compact design measures 93.5 x168.5 x 37 mm and combines a CNC-machined aluminium front with a PC and ABS rear shell.
