The upcoming REDMI Buds 8 have been officially teased, and they look like another strong entry in the affordable TWS space. The launch is set for April 21 at 7 PM (China time), as part of a larger Redmi event where the company will also unveil the Redmi K90 Max and the K Pad 2 tablet. So it’s not a standalone reveal, but the Buds 8 are still getting a fair bit of attention in the teasers.

From what’s been shared so far, the earbuds will offer 50dB active noise cancellation with coverage up to 4kHz. That should be enough to handle most everyday noise like traffic or background chatter. Redmi is also using an 11mm dynamic driver, which usually means decent bass and overall balanced sound for this price segment.

The Buds 8 stick to a familiar in-ear style, paired with a small, rounded charging case. They’ll be available in black, white, and a light, muted green-grey color, which keeps things simple but gives a bit of choice. One small but useful addition is a map-based find feature, which helps locate misplaced earbuds.

For some context, Redmi already launched the Buds 8 Pro earlier this year at 399 yuan, with more advanced hardware like a triple-driver setup and 55dB ANC. The standard Buds 8 seem aimed at a lower price point, focusing on the essentials while still offering solid noise cancellation.

The April 21 event will reveal full details, including pricing, battery life, and real-world performance claims. If Redmi manages to price these aggressively, the REDMI Buds 8 could end up being an easy pick for anyone looking for simple, reliable ANC earbuds.
