Today, OnePlus confirmed that the Ace 6 Ultra, a gaming-focused flagship phone, will debut in China on April 28. Alongside the smartphone, the brand has also unveiled a dedicated controller, pointing towards a more immersive mobile gaming experience. Here is a closer look at how it aims to elevate gameplay on the Ace 6 Ultra.

OnePlus is positioning the Ace 6 Ultra and its companion gaming controller as a combined system designed specifically for shooter games. When used independently, the smartphone functions like a regular high-performance device. However, once attached to the controller, it transforms into a handheld console-like setup aimed at improving precision and comfort.
A key highlight of this setup is the addition of four physical buttons, enabling players to move beyond standard two-finger controls. This hybrid input system blends touch gestures with physical triggers, allowing more complex actions such as aiming, firing, and movement to happen simultaneously with better coordination.

The controller is said to support a 1000Hz polling rate with extremely low latency response, which should translate into quicker in-game reactions. OnePlus is also focusing on making advanced multi-finger gameplay more accessible, helping casual players gradually improve their control techniques.
On the hardware side, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra is expected to feature the Dimensity 9500 chipset, paired with a 6.83-inch OLED 1.5K 165Hz display that supports highly responsive touch input. The device is also tipped to include a large 8,600mAh battery, suggesting a strong emphasis on extended gaming sessions without frequent charging.
The previous-generation OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra flagships have remained exclusive to the Chinese market.
