Sennheiser has unveiled a new pair of professional headphones aimed at creators and audio engineers. The Sennheiser HD 480 Pro has been announced with a focus on delivering accurate sound reproduction and long-lasting comfort for studio and live environments.

The Sennheiser HD 480 PRO is a closed-back headphone designed for recording, monitoring, and mixing tasks. It focuses on delivering precise low-end reproduction, an area where closed-back headphones often struggle. The headphones feature a dynamic transducer with a 38mm driver and offer a wide frequency response range of 3Hz to 28,700Hz, aiming to deliver detailed and consistent sound across different listening scenarios.
Comfort has also been prioritised, with an ergonomic design that adapts well to different head shapes. The ear cushions include a dedicated comfort zone for users who wear glasses, ensuring minimal pressure during extended sessions. The headphones also include multiple layers of passive noise isolation, helping reduce external distractions while maintaining audio clarity.
Additional design elements such as a vibration attenuation system help minimize unwanted distortion and reflections. The HD 480 Pro also includes a detachable cable that can be connected on either side, offering flexibility during use. The cable design helps reduce handling noise, which can be useful in professional environments.

The Sennheiser HD 480 Pro is priced at Rs 43,999 (~$470) and comes with recording ear pads, a 3-metre coiled cable, and a carrying bag. The HD 480 Pro Plus variant is priced at Rs 47,999 (~$515) and includes a travel case instead of a bag. Both variants are now available in India.
