Xiaomi has introduced its new Mijia Smart Clothes Drying Rack 3 through a crowdfunding campaign on its Youpin platform. The product is priced at 1299 yuan (~190), positioning it as a smart home upgrade for modern apartments. It focuses on convenience, better organization, and improved lighting, making it more than just a traditional drying rack.

Smart 4-Zone Drying Design

The new drying rack comes with a 4-zone layout designed to keep different types of clothes separate. It includes dedicated areas for flat drying, small items, quilts and large fabrics, and everyday clothing. This helps users avoid mixing items like underwear and shoes. In total, it offers 94 drying positions, including 38 open hanging slots, 32 rotating clothespin positions, 20 telescopic pole slots, along with two drying nets and two quilt poles, making it suitable for large households.

Large Lighting Panel Upgrade

A major highlight is the upgraded 42-inch light panel, which is 35% larger than the previous generation. It delivers up to 3000 lumens brightness with 36W power consumption. The lighting supports adjustable color temperatures from 3000K to 5700K and multiple brightness levels. This makes it useful not only for drying clothes but also for activities like reading, relaxing, or spending time on the balcony.

Smart Automation Features

The drying rack integrates with Xiaomi’s smart home ecosystem and offers intelligent automation. It can lower automatically when sunlight is strong and raise itself at sunset to prevent moisture buildup. This hands-free functionality adds convenience to daily use.

Durable and Quiet Performance

The device is powered by a quiet DC motor and is built for long-term use. It has been tested for over 6000 lifting cycles under full load and supports up to 35 kg weight. The operation is smooth, stable, and low-noise, making it suitable for everyday use in homes.
