Machenike has just listed a new mini PC, the Mini GTR, for pre-order on JD.com in China. It is priced at 3,999 yuan ($586), and for that price, you get a very compact desktop computer equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 8745H processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD.

Machenike Mini GTR Specifications

The computer is genuinely small. It takes up just 0.67 liters of space, measuring 128 by 128 by 41.3mm, and weighs about 650 grams. This makes it easy to tuck under a monitor or place on a crowded desk.

Inside, the Ryzen 7 8745H chip features 8 cores, 16 threads, and a boost clock of up to 4.9GHz. It is a laptop-class processor, but it provides more than enough speed for everyday work, web browsing, and standard multitasking.

For graphics, the GTR relies on AMD‘s integrated Radeon 780M. It is important to note that this isn’t a replacement for a dedicated gaming PC. However, the 780M is a capable integrated GPU. If you are willing to turn down the resolution and graphical settings, it can handle games like Cyberpunk 2077, Forza Horizon 5, or Fortnite at playable frame rates.

Machenike didn’t solder the memory or storage to the motherboard. You get two SO-DIMM slots for the DDR5 RAM and two M.2 slots for PCIe 4.0 storage, meaning you can easily swap in more capacity later. To keep the hardware from overheating in such a tight space, the system uses a dual heat-pipe cooling setup designed to let the processor run steadily at 65W.

The port selection is also very practical. The GTR includes six standard USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one fast 40Gbps USB4 port, an HDMI 2.0 port, and a DisplayPort 1.4. For networking, it has a 2.5G Ethernet jack, along with standard Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3.

In related news, Gmktec recently unveiled the NucBox M3 Pro mini PC with an Intel Core i5-13500H and triple 4K display support, while Minisforum introduced the M2 mini PC powered by the Intel Core Ultra 7 356H with support for up to 128GB RAM.
