Portronics is combining the two with its new My Buddy K9 Pro Max, a metal laptop stand that features an integrated 6-in-1 USB hub. It is a straightforward idea aimed at reducing cable clutter for people who work off a laptop all day.

As a stand, the K9 Pro Max functions much like other metal risers on the market. It supports laptops up to 17 inches and allows users to adjust both the height and the viewing angle. This helps bring the screen closer to eye level, which is generally better for your posture if you are sitting at a desk for hours. The base of the stand can rotate 360 degrees, making it easier to turn the screen toward someone else if you need to share what you are looking at during a meeting.
The main difference between this and a standard stand is the connectivity. Portronics included a built-in 6-in-1 USB hub directly into the frame. Instead of plugging multiple peripherals directly into your laptop or having a separate dongle resting on your desk, you connect the laptop to the stand with one cable.
