Xiaomi has officially confirmed the global launch date of its upcoming Xiaomi 17T series, and the new lineup appears set to bring several notable upgrades. The company has teased Leica-tuned cameras and a redesigned rear camera module, while leaks have already revealed details about the displays, chipsets, battery sizes, and charging speeds expected on the two models.

Xiaomi 17T series launch date

The Xiaomi 17T series is scheduled to launch globally on May 28. The lineup is expected to include the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro, both carrying a square-shaped triple rear camera setup developed in collaboration with Leica. Official teasers suggest Xiaomi is positioning the new phones as one of the biggest upgrades in its T-series lineup so far.

Leaked renders indicate that both phones could feature flat displays and flat rear panels, with the power and volume buttons placed on the right edge. Reports suggest the Xiaomi 17T may arrive with a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Xiaomi 17T Pro could get a larger 6.83-inch OLED panel supporting up to 144Hz refresh rate. Both displays are also tipped to support Dolby Vision, high-frequency PWM dimming, and peak brightness levels of up to 3500 nits.

The Xiaomi 17T is expected to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra processor, while the Pro variant may feature the flagship-grade Dimensity 9500 chipset. Both phones are likely to ship with HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and storage options going up to 1TB.

Camera details leaked so far point towards a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 50-megapixel 5x periscope telephoto camera with optical image stabilisation on both models. A 32-megapixel front camera is also expected on both models.

The Xiaomi 17T tipped to pack a 6,500mAh battery with 67W charging, while the Xiaomi 17T Pro may include a 7,000mAh battery alongside 100W wired and 50W wireless charging support. In Europe, the 17T with 12GB+256GB configuration is expected to cost 749 euros (~$870), whereas the 17T Pro with 12GB+512GB configuration is likely to cost 999 euros (~$1,165).
