After five months of running the One UI 8.5 beta program, Samsung finally began rolling out the stable version in May, starting with the Galaxy S25 series. The rollout initially covered premium Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series smartphones, but, as always, Samsung wasted no time bringing the update to more affordable phones.
The company confirmed that the update would be released for a total of 44 devices via posts on Samsung Newsroom. In a little over a month, Samsung has released the update for all of those confirmed devices.

It’s very likely that Samsung will release the update for a few more Galaxy devices before wrapping up the rollout. We’ll update the list when that happens.
As the rollout happens in batches, it may take a few days for the update to appear on your Galaxy device. You can manually check for updates by navigating to Settings > Software update and tapping the Download and install button.
While the One UI 8.5 update continues to roll out to more devices, Samsung has already begun preparations for One UI 9.0, which is based on Android 17. The beta program is already live for the Galaxy S26 series, with more devices expected to join soon, while the stable release is expected in July 2026.
