The panel also supports 3840Hz PWM dimming and several eye-comfort technologies. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 Enhanced Edition chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The phone runs MagicOS 10.0 based on Android 16.
For photography, the device includes a 50-megapixel rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and support for electronic image stabilization. On the front, it houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The handset packs an 8,560mAh battery and supports 90W wired fast charging along with wired reverse charging.
Additional features include stereo speakers, NFC, an infrared blaster, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-SIM 5G support, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The phone also carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
Honor has introduced the X70 Pro Max in Phantom Purple, Sunburst Gold, Bamboo Green, and Phantom Night Black color options. Pricing starts at 1,999 Yuan (~$300) for the 8GB+256GB version, while the 8GB+512GB edition costs 2,399 Yuan (~$355). At present, the device appears to be limited to China, and there is no confirmation regarding a global rollout.
What upgrades does it offer over the Honor X70?

Compared to the Honor X70, the Pro Max model brings a newer Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 Enhanced Edition chipset, MagicOS 10.0 based on Android 16, a larger 8,560mAh battery, and faster 90W charging. It also gains IP69K certification and arrives in a fresh set of color options. For those who are unaware, the X70 lineup does not include a Pro variant.
The Honor X70 offered a 50-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization and optional 80W wireless charging on the top variant, whereas the X70 Pro Max switches to electronic image stabilization and does not list wireless charging support. Storage configurations have also been streamlined, with only 8GB RAM variants available.
