Citizen has released two new versions of its Tsuyosa 60 automatic watch in the US and UK markets. Both models are priced at $675 or £429 and feature a yellow gold-tone stainless steel finish. The primary difference between the two releases is the case size: one measures 37mm (model NK0032-56A) and the other measures 40mm (model NK0022-50A).
Design Details
The design of the Tsuyosa 60 centers around an integrated stainless steel bracelet, meaning the watch case and the band connect directly without traditional protruding lugs.
Both the 37mm and 40mm sizes include a textured dial, applied indices for the hour markers, and a date window located at the 3 o’clock position. The dial is covered by sapphire crystal, a material typical for watches in this price tier that provides standard scratch resistance. The bracelet fastens using a deployant clasp with push buttons.
Inside the case, both watches operate on Citizen’s caliber 8310 automatic movement. As a mechanical movement, it does not require a battery. It winds itself using an internal oscillating weight that rotates with the natural movement of the wearer’s arm.
The 60 in the product name refers to the watch’s 60-hour power reserve. In practical terms, a 60-hour reserve means a user can take the watch off on a Friday evening, and it will still be ticking on Monday morning, avoiding the need to manually rewind or reset the time after a weekend of not wearing it.
Citizen lists the water resistance for both models at 50 meters (5 Bar). The manufacturer says this is suitable for still water swimming. Generally, a 50-meter rating is adequate for everyday water exposure, such as washing hands or getting caught in the rain, but it is not intended for diving or high-impact water sports.
