Samsung typically rolls out a new security update to its smartphones and tablets first, followed by its wearables. However, this month things took an unexpected turn. The July 2026 security update went live for the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 7 series before it was released for the Galaxy S26 series.
The latest security patch is now available for dozens of Galaxy devices across the smartphone, tablet, and wearable lineups. We’ve prepared a list of Galaxy devices that are getting the July 2026 security update below.

Still, there are many Galaxy devices waiting for the July security update. We’ll try to update the list regularly so it remains up to date.
Please note that Samsung rolls out software updates in batches. So, the availability depends on your region. You can head over to the Settings app and navigate to Software updates > Download and install to check for available updates.
While the update doesn’t bring any visual changes or new features, it’s still important because it patches dozens of security vulnerabilities to protect your device. To be specific, the July security patch fixes 57 vulnerabilities across Android and One UI. Of those, 41 are from Google, which includes 5 critical and 36 high-level vulnerabilities, while the remaining 16 are Samsung-specific fixes. You can read more about the security patch here.
