1Clean design that prioritizes practicality
The Vivobook S16 adopts a clean, understated design that looks equally suitable in an office, classroom, or coffee shop. My review unit came in the Cool Silver finish, though Asus also offers a Matte Grey variant.
The lid is made of plastic instead of aluminum, but it still feels sturdy and well put together. The matte finish resists fingerprints effectively, helping the laptop maintain a clean appearance during daily use. Weighing 1.7kg and measuring between 15.9mm and 17.9mm thick, it isn’t the lightest 16-inch notebook available, but it’s still comfortable enough to carry every day.
The minimalist Asus branding keeps the exterior elegant, while the spacious interior makes good use of the larger chassis. Users get a full-sized keyboard with a dedicated numpad, a large touchpad, and a 180-degree hinge that allows the display to lie completely flat for easier collaboration.
