Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 pre-orders surge 30% globally after launch
Samsung’s latest foldable lineup appears to have received a strong response from consumers worldwide. The company has revealed that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 have achieved higher pre-order numbers compared to their predecessors, with India also setting a new milestone.

Samsung has confirmed that global pre-orders for the new Galaxy Z series are 30% higher than the previous generation. The company says the latest foldables have attracted interest with their updated designs, Galaxy AI features and improved productivity experiences.
In India, the response has been even stronger, with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Flip 8 receiving more than 271,000 pre-orders within 72 hours of launch. Last year, Samsung took 15 days to reach a similar pre-order figure for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra starts at Rs 1,99,999 (~$2,100), while the Galaxy Z Fold 8 starts at Rs 1,79,999 (~$1,890). The Galaxy Z Flip 8 starts at Rs 1,24,999 (~$1,315). All three models are available in multiple colour options through online and offline retail stores.
Samsung has also introduced a 30-month no-cost EMI option for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 in India. The financing option is available through Samsung’s official channels and participating retailers, allowing buyers to reduce monthly payments without a down payment.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 brings a refreshed design focused on a wider range of use cases, including browsing, gaming, reading and multitasking. It weighs 201g, making it Samsung’s lightest Galaxy Z Fold model yet.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra targets users looking for a larger workspace with an 8-inch inner display, a 200-megapixel main camera with HDR support, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 5,000mAh battery and 45W fast charging.
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 focuses on portability with a redesigned FlexWindow experience, allowing users to access apps, AI features and personalised information directly from the cover display. It comes with a 50-megapixel camera system and FlexCam features for easier hands-free photography.
