Lava is going after budget shoppers in India again with the new Lava Smart 4. It’s an entry-level phone running Android Go and is available for under Rs. 10,000 in the country. Let’s walk through full specs and price details in this article.
Lava Smart 4 Specifications
The Smart 4 has a 6.56-inch HD (960 x 540 px) LCD screen, and even at this price, Lava has given it a 90Hz refresh rate. Powering the display is a 1.6GHz Unisoc SC9863A octa-core chipset with an IMG8322 GPU, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
That’s not a lot of storage, but you can expand it up to 512GB with a microSD card if you need more room for photos and apps. It’s a similar setup to what Lava used on the Yuva Star, another budget phone the company launched with the same Unisoc chip.
For cameras, you get an 8MP rear shooter with LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The phone packs a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging.
Lava has also given the Smart 4 a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, FM radio, and even military-grade durability certification (MIL-STD-810H), which is a nice touch for a phone at this price. You also get dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.

You can pick up the Lava Smart 4 in Konark Gold or Ajanta Grey colors for Rs. 8,499. It’s available through Lava’s offline retail outlets and service provider networks, and stores are also offering financing options if you’d rather pay it off over time.
