Citizen brings its GPS-syncing premium Attesa CC4084-83Z watch to the US

Citizen has updated its US storefront to include the Attesa CC4084-83Z, bringing the titanium watch to the US market. The company initially launched the watch in the UK earlier this week alongside the CC4085-81Z. While the CC4084-83Z was missing from the initial US rollout, it is now available to purchase directly from the manufacturer for $2,295.

Design Details

The Attesa line focuses on autonomous timekeeping and power management. The CC4084-83Z operates on Citizen’s F950 caliber movement, which integrates the company’s Eco-Drive technology. This system charges the watch’s internal battery using ambient light, including standard indoor office lighting and natural sunlight, which eliminates the need for manual charging or physical battery replacements.

For time synchronization, the watch relies on Satellite Wave GPS. Rather than connecting to a smartphone via Bluetooth or receiving local radio tower signals, the watch communicates directly with GPS satellites. This allows the device to detect its location and automatically adjust to the correct local time zone anywhere in the world. The F950 movement also powers a perpetual calendar, dual time zone tracking, and standard chronograph features.

The watch features a 44.6mm case. To offset the weight typical of larger watches, Citizen uses titanium for both the case and the matching link bracelet. The metal is finished in a dark gunmetal color and treated with a Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating to improve everyday scratch resistance.

Visually, the dark gunmetal hardware is paired with a green world-time bezel and a green-and-black dial. The layout includes gold-tone accents, prominent hour markers, and three sub-dials, resulting in a technical, aviation-inspired design.

The watch features an anti-reflective sapphire crystal and offers water resistance up to 100 meters, making it suitable for swimming and showering. Citizen is limiting global production of the CC4084-83Z to 1,500 unnumbered pieces.
