Creative has launched a new desktop soundbar in China, the Creative B3, which is currently listed on JD.com. The soundbar has a standard retail price of 429 yuan ($64), with an initial launch price set at 339 yuan ($50).
Creative B3 Soundbar Specifications
Inside the 420mm-wide unit, the B3 features a four-driver acoustic system. It uses a symmetrical two-way design, pairing two 58mm bass drivers with two 40mm high-frequency drivers. This configuration separates the low and high frequencies to maintain audio clarity during media playback and gaming.
The system is managed by an Actions Semiconductor audio chipset with a 32-bit processing core and a DSP programmed for gaming audio. It has a frequency response range of 20Hz to 20kHz and delivers a peak output of 20W. The power output is divided into 4W for the left and right channels, and 6W for each of the two subwoofer channels.
The soundbar supports Bluetooth 6.0, utilizing a wireless transmission chip designed to reduce audio latency and keep game audio synchronized with on-screen visuals. Alongside the wireless option, the rear panel includes ports for USB-C, optical, and 3.5mm AUX connections.
This allows the B3 to connect to PCs, macOS devices, smartphones, and TVs. It is also compatible with the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, though it requires users to switch the soundbar to a dedicated console mode for those systems.
For voice communication, Creative included a built-in omnidirectional microphone with noise-reduction capabilities to filter out background noise during multiplayer sessions.
On the front panel, a spherical control unit combines a rotary dial and touch controls. This hub manages power, volume, media playback, and the circular RGB lighting, which can be disabled entirely via a dedicated button. The control dial also allows users to switch between four EQ presets. The B3 measures 420 x 87 x 87.4mm and weighs 1.28kg, fitting under most standard monitors.
