Nothing is getting ready to step up its audio game with a more premium over-ear pair. The Headphone (1) Pro looks like a clear upgrade from their earlier model, aimed at people who want stronger sound and a few more refined features.
According to Dealabs, these should drop on September 29. It’s expected to be priced at €349 in Europe and $399 in the US. They’re coming in the usual black and white, keeping Nothing’s signature semi-transparent look but stepping it up with an aluminum shell and scratch-resistant glass. An IP52 rating means they can handle a bit of dust and light water, which is nice for everyday use.
The big audio jump is a three-driver setup where different drivers handle different frequency ranges. The high-frequency segment reportedly uses xMEMS, a solid-state micro-speaker system built entirely out of silicon, which is interesting.
The headphones also getting tuning help from Metropolis Studios in London (the same place that works on a lot of proper recording and mastering work), plus Hi-Res Audio certification and LDAC support. There’s a Flat EQ option and some more detailed “recording-grade” sound tools if you like tweaking.
On the noise-cancelling side, ten microphones power adaptive ANC, and there’s a transparency mode when you need to hear what’s going on around you. Connectivity covers Bluetooth 6.1 and a proper 3.5 mm jack (still useful). Battery life is claimed at up to 60 hours, with fast charging support.
Overall it feels like Nothing is trying to position this as a more serious, better-sounding version of their existing over-ears: multi-driver sound, studio input, and solid everyday durability. Nothing themselves haven’t officially confirmed specs yet.
