For years, the Android tablet space has been missing a real answer to Apple’s iPad mini, something small enough to hold comfortably in one hand, but still powerful enough for actual work and entertainment. Oppo is trying to fill that gap with the Pad Mini, packing premium hardware into a surprisingly slim 8.8-inch body.

The display is the real highlight. It’s an 8.8-inch 2.5K (2520 × 1680) OLED panel with a 144Hz adaptive refresh rate and a matte finish that cuts down on reflections and gives a more paper-like feel when you’re writing with a stylus. Peak brightness hits 1,600 nits (some sources mention even higher local peaks).
Under the hood is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a 3nm chip that delivers near-flagship performance in 2026. The tablet runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16 and supports Wi-Fi 7. Despite being only 5.46mm thick, it still packs an 8,000mAh battery with 67W wired charging, a pretty impressive combo of capacity and thinness. Camera-wise, there’s a single 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front one for basic photos and video calls.

The focus is a glare-resistant, high-refresh OLED screen, strong performance, and solid battery life in a highly portable package.
Price and availability:
In India it’s priced at ₹94,999 and comes in just one configuration: 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The only color available is Lavender, and it goes on sale from October 29 through Flipkart and Oppo’s own online store.
If you’re specifically looking for a compact, matte-screen tablet for note-taking, reading, or media on the go, the Oppo Pad Mini is currently one of the most interesting Android options out there. Still, it’s probably smart to wait for independent reviews to check real-world battery life, display quality, and overall value before dropping ₹94,999 on it.
