Huawei is lining up its next imaging flagship for the first half of 2027, and a fresh tip points to a clearer split across the Huawei Pura 100 series. The rumor centers on which models keep a conventional mid-size panel and which ones move to a wider layout. Tipster Digital Chat Station shared the update after looking at an engineering sample.

Huawei Pura 100 series display plans

According to the tipster, Huawei had already been evaluating a widescreen option for its 2027 H1 imaging flagship lineup, which appears to be the Pura 100 lineup. The new leak suggests that the engineering prototype of the standard Pura 100 will stick with a 6.6-inch mid-size screen. In comparison, the standard Pura 90 has a bigger 6.8-inch display panel.

The new leak also suggests that the Huawei Pura 100 Pro and Pro Max will switch to a widescreen panel still measuring around 6.39 inches. That would frame the higher models as all-around widescreen imaging phones rather than taller candybar designs. To recall, the Pura 90 Pro came with a 6.6-inch display, whereas the Pro Max housed a 6.9-inch panel.

The Huawei Pura X View widescreen phone, which debuted in September this year, has a 6.39-inch display. It remains to be seen whether the Pura 100 Pro and 100 Pura Por Max will inherit the same display.

Pura remains Huawei’s camera-first family, so the screen change matters mainly as a canvas for photo and video work. Previous rumors have sketched ambitious camera ideas for the series, including a dual 200-megapixel setup, stronger zoom hardware, and DSLR-style external lens accessories. Similar teleconverter talk has also followed the Mate 90 Pro Max.

For now, the concrete claim is simple: a 6.6-inch standard model, and Pro / Pro Max units at roughly 6.39 inches in a widescreen shape aimed at becoming HarmonyOS’s first all-around widescreen imaging flagship. Would a wider Pura 100 Pro change how you shoot and edit on a phone?
